„…we - ISE - teach and dive ONE configuration, following a clear principle which in our opinion is best for our students and clients and …
…So it is time to refere to the ISE System as „ISE Sidemount“ for a better understanding and a clear differentiation to other methods and approaches.
ISE instructors teaching ISE Sideount courses teach the ISE way solely!“

Link?

Thorsten Waelde Please don’t link me in to much into the Facebook world, i am not the right person for that discussions, if anybody is interested in my system the best is do a course and you learn how it works, but for now i just clear some topic regarding the long hose…i don’t understand the discussion i always use the long hose by certain diving situations like a diver wants to learn cave diving in sidemount configuration, of course he has to learn it with a long hose, because he will dive in the future with backmount divers for sure and he NEED to understand the concept of it, as well any technical training i use the long hose. The only point is that in my system i use it not on the right tank i use it on the left one, the first reason is that it doesn’t cross the chest and keeps it free particular in tight spaces and always the donor know´s how to set it back and keep it streamlined (there are two ways of it). The right tank is called „working tank“ so i teach a lot of tank handing protocol, because right trained it is a very fast procedure to share gas and in case of an emergency situation always independent divers are faster out from a cave with techniques like „bump and go“ for example. I train that exercise since 16years and it proofs always the divers are much faster out and for sure a safer traveling back if there is a complete fuck up and no visibility anymore available. So long hose is very important and it is part of my system. If i train and Open Water Sidemount Diver i don’t teach them to use the long hose…for which reason? very easy they struggle to much with a long hose and better use the concept of 1m hoses. The 2x 1m hoses are very streamlined and so useful in most of the training courses i teach. It has the same length like an typical „octopus“ system and it doesn’t complicate the diving. If i train a „Advanced sidemount cave course“ with lots of tight areas it is clear the llong hose is NOT the right option and there are many points of snagging in rocks etc. I got my experience in tight passages and i configure the SM system for that reason and figured out what is the best option for myself and possible to donate still some gas too my buddy. If i use 40cm hoses or smaller…its not working believe me . So dear sidemount diver community, keep balanced there are many ways of diving sidemount not just one…my system will be shortly available and a website with lots of information to clear what it is, how it works and people can try it and everybody can decide if they like it or not it is just a way of diving…thats all. The best way for the future is get some training with an Instructor who is trained on the TS-System, this is our next step as well. Regarding that i try to be in Mallorca to show the ISE Instructors more deeply how it works and clear maybe some topics which are missing at the moment and i am open for discussions in person, always easier as with Facebook . So please i am open for discussions but NOT over Facebook…call me, write emails, meet me in person…thats what i like…All the best Toddy
